The G22 has a large display and a fashionable back panel with a matte finish. There's a "hollow punch" digital digicam or even a headphone jack - but the overall performance is terrible. Motorola has introduced a solid range of budget to mid-range phones in recent years, and the Moto G22 fits nicely into that range at £149 / €189.
It looks smart, with a matte finish that gives it a unique touch and a large 6.5-inch display that dominates the front of the device (albeit with a small 'mouth' below). Other than that, it runs on Android 12, but that's honestly not the best way to enjoy Google's modern mobile OS anymore.
This is due to the fact that the Mediatek Helio G37 chip seems to be constantly running at capacity internally, limiting what the G22 can do - even basic apps like pictures and surfing the Play Store.
